Warrington claimed a comprehensive win over a lacklustre Wakefield to ease the pressure on coach Paul Cullen. Teenage winger Chris Riley scored two of the Wolves' five tries for only their third win in their last 11 league and cup matches.
Jon Clarke and Chris Leikvoll went over early only for Ned Catic to hit back before the break.
Brent Grose responded on the hour, in between Riley's efforts, while Waine Pryce's score was little consolation.
Warrington coach Paul Cullen "We have kept our heads down and worked hard. The players have been professional and patient and defensively I could see what we have been doing.
"Our 85% completion rate in the second half took the game away from Wakefield.
"Our two young wingers Kevin Penny and Chris Riley are giving everything they have got. They are quick, sharp and very focused and not daunted by anything."
Wakefield coach John Kear "I'm very displeased and the team are very disappointed - we gave away a great opportunity.
"The only piece of solace is that my mate Paul Cullen got a win at last. He's a good coach and Warrington are a good team.
"Warrington looked more sprightly and were more desperate than us. The scoreboard reflected how the two teams played."
