The Broncos have named an 18-man squad, including 14 of the 17 players who won last year's NRL Grand Final.

Lockyer has recovered from wrist surgery, while the likes of Petero Civoniceva, Brent Tate and Karmichael Hunt also make the trip.

Brisbane will take on Celtic Crusaders in a warm-up game on 15 February.

The squad will leave for England on Tuesday, with Brisbane keen to reverse the recent trend of English dominance in the annual Challenge match.

Super League clubs have won nine of the 14 matches played, with Bradford beating Wests Tigers 30-10 in last year's match in Huddersfield.

Lockyer has said he wants to add the World Club Challenge trophy to his personal haul after his brilliant season in 2006.

The 29-year-old won the Golden Boot as the international player of the year, and triumphed in the NRL Grand Final with Brisbane, the State of Origin with Queensland and the Tri-Nations with Australia.

The Broncos will take club legend Shane Webcke, who retired at the end of last season, with them as a reward for his service to the club.

"The board met and discussed it and decided this was a way in which we could say thank you to Shane," said Brisbane managing director Bruno Cullen.

"In our last home game last season we had a tribute to him and drew a crowd of something like 48,000 people to a game which would normally draw around 30,000.

"We agreed that they turned out largely for him and thought this was a way we could show our appreciation."

The World Club Challenge is an annual play-off between the winners of Australia's NRL and Super League.
