Hanley is one of rugby league's all-time greats |
Former Great Britain captain Ellery Hanley is one of four rugby league legends to be inducted into the sport's Hall of Fame on Thursday. Hanley, a three-time Man of Steel, won 34 Great Britain caps and scored 428 tries for Bradford, Wigan and Leeds.
Ex-England stars Martin Hodgson and Douglas Clark get posthumous inclusions, with the quartet completed by former Lions centre Eric Ashton.
"They're great additions to the Hall of Fame," said RFL chairman Richard Lewis.
"There cannot be any dispute about their credentials and we are proud to add them to the growing list of members."
