Our victory at Widnes last week was very good.
Even though Widnes are bottom of the league and without a Super League win so far this season, it wasn't easy at all.
A lot of teams will go to Widnes and lose this season, because they are a tough team to play at their place.
I am surprised Widnes are stuck at the foot of the table, but I think they have had a really tough start to the season.
They have just been unlucky in the teams they have had to play - St Helens, Hull and us.
They caused us a lot of trouble in the opening stages, but in the end our true colours came through.
But we still have a lot to work on. Some of the tries we conceded were a bit soft and it's definitely something we need to improve on in our next game against Warrington, who have looked pretty useful so far this season.
Vainikolo's new contract has boosted the Bulls |
It's a big boost for us that Lesley Vainikolo has signed a new contract.
He's so strong and dynamic when he runs with the ball, so it really is great news for the club.
He's a world class player and is in great form at the moment.
I'm sure there would have been a lot of interest from our Super League rivals if he hadn't signed.
This week I won the Opta Player of the Week award - apparently my stats for ball carrying, tackling and so on were the best of the week.
But it's not something I take much notice of at all - I didn't even know I'd won it until someone told me!
You only look at your own stats within the structure of your team - that's much more important.
As long as the team keeps winning, awards like this are irrelevant.
It's great news - for us, anyway - that our coach Brian Noble has decided to step down from his role as Yorkshire coach in the Origin Series.
The two games always include a lot of Bradford players, but at least Brian will be able to concentrate on his club football.
The job was a step in the right direction for Nobby and I've absolutely no doubt he can go all the way to the top in his coaching career.
His greatest strength is the way he talks to players and he's very well respected because of that.
He's one of the best - if not the best - coach I've ever played under.
