He enjoyed a highly succesful period as Leicestershire overseas star in 1995  As captain of his country, Cronje enjoyed great success, winning the Willis Cup and the Texaco trophy in 1998  Hanse Cronje discusses tactics during the 1999 World Cup. He was a very popular captain and was well respected in the world game  His popularity began to slip as details of match-fixing Cronje began to emerge in April 2000  In October 2000 Cronje's fate was sealed as the ICC handed him a life ban from international cricket | |
