 Geyer learnt to ski at Torquay's Alpine Ski Club |
Torquay's Jai Geyer has been crowned the English Slalom Champion at the English Alpine Championships in Italy. The 19-year-old was the top English competitor in the Federation of International Skiing race, which attracted entrants from across Europe. Geyer finished sixth out of 140 skiers, with a total run time of 1:36:81 over his two races in Bormio. Robert Bullen was the next fastest English skier, coming home in 11th position with a time of 1.38.90. First place went to Italy's Nicolo Comombi, who recorded a time of 1:34:74.
