Windless returned to Riders in the summer

Veteran Tony Windless scored nine seconds from the buzzer to secure a thrilling 94-93 home win for Leicester Riders against Plymouth Raiders.

Leicester led 86-81 and 92-85 in the closing stages but an inspired 8-0 tear saw Raiders take the lead at 93-92.

But Windless held his nerve to edge Riders ahead and Anthony Martin could not connect on a last-ditch three.

The victory means Riders are one of three teams on 28 points as the race for a home play-off spot heats up.

Riders are sixth in the BBL table, level on points with Everton and MK Lions, but both those sides have played fewer games than Rob Paternostro's side.

Raiders remain in 11th spot.
