Rudman won Britain's only medal of the 2006 Winter Olympics |
Olympic medallist Shelley Rudman has vowed to get back to training within two months of becoming a mother. Wiltshire's Rudman, who won silver in the skeleton at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy, gave birth to Ella Marie Bromley in the middle of October.
Ella's father Kristan Bromley, the former World Cup skeleton champion, was present at the birth but is now in Norway preparing for the new season.
Rudman plans to go for gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
And she believes the timing of the pregnancy has not done her chances any harm.

She told the Mail on Sunday while she was still pregnant: "We've still got three years until the next Winter Olympics.
"It's very exciting. I'm not sure what will happen with my body but I hope to be able to compete again by the middle of next season, around January."
The World Cup season starts in Calgary, Canada, on 26 November.
Rudman's 2006 campaign was curtailed by knee and hamstring injuries and she ended the season ranked 22nd in the world.
She competed at the World Championships in St Moritz in January, finishing 10th, unaware she was pregnant while she was hurtling down the ice track at 80mph.
Bromley also had a frustrating season missing a number of races which saw him slide down the rankings to 25th.
But Adam Pengilly and Amy Williams continued to move forward in the sport, finishing fifth and 13th respectively in the world standings.
