LeBron James entered the record books with his first career triple-double as the Cleveland Cavaliers saw off the Trail Blazers 107-101 in Portland. Twenty days after his 20th birthday, James became the youngest player in NBA history to achieve the feat, grabbling 27 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
The previous youngest was achieved by Lamar Odom at 20 years and 54 days.
"LeBron could play for a triple-double every night and get it," said Cavaliers team-mate Jeff McInnis.
"But he doesn't play for that, and that's a credit to him."
James said: "I just want to create an atmosphere where winning is the most important thing.
"It's not individual goals. I could care less about individual goals. I'm going out and averaging good numbers. But we're winning and I'm happy."
In other games on Wednesday, Dwyane Wade matched Shaquille O'Neal with 25 points as the Miami hammered Atlanta 111-92 in a contest between the Eastern Conference's best and worst teams. Vince Carter had his best game in a New Jersey uniform, scoring 33 points to lead the Nets past the Milwaukee Bucks 96-90.
In Los Angeles, Chucky Atkins stepped in for the injured Kobe Bryant, scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 boards as the Lakers beat Minnesota 93-90.
Bonzi Wells had 16 points and Stromile Swift added 14 as Memphis defeated fading Phoenix 88-79 - their fifth straight defeat.
