Tim Duncan came off court with a season-best 34 points as the San Antonio Spurs edged out the Philadelphia 76ers 88-80 on Thursday.
The result was San Antonio's fifth successive NBA victory and their first in Philadelphia since the end of 1999.
Their cause was aided by 17 points from Manu Ginobili and a further 16 from Rasho Nesterovic.
Allen Iversen was the pick of the Sixers players as he ended the night with a tally of 24, while Kyle Korver and Corliss Williamson combined for a further 32 points.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were also winners on Thursday, comfortably defeating the Charlotte Bobcats 106-89.
LeBron James proved the real game breaker late in the second quarter, as his sublime windmill dunk brought woops of delight from the crowd.
The result moved the Cavaliers .500 for the first time since 1999 - James' freshman year in high school.
But the win was not solely about James, as Jeff McInnis scored 18 points.
In the day's only other game, the New York Knicks eked out the narrowest of wins over the Houston Rockets - a 93-92 victory.
Jamal Crawford sealed the Knicks' glory with a three-pointer on the final buzzer for his side's first win on the road of the season.
