The New Jersey Nets have signed head coach Lawrence Frank to a multi-year contract extension.
Terms of the deal were not revealed, but president Rod Thorn said: "We are very pleased that Lawrence has agreed to coach the Nets not only for this year, but for the foreseeable future.
"He proved last season that he has the basketball acumen and work ethic which defines quality professional coaches."
Frank took over the job on an interim basis on 26 January when Byron Scott was fired and then set a major professional sports coaching record by winning his first 13 games.
Before landing in New Jersey, Frank spent three seasons as an assistant coach for the Vancouver Grizzlies and was an assistant at the University of Tennessee.
