Welsh triathlete Helen Tucker claimed the British title on Sunday after a fine win in the Royal Windsor event.

The 21-year-old finished four seconds ahead of nearest rival Vanessa Raw to win in a time of 2:03:54, with Welsh team-mate Anneliese Heard in third.

In the men's race Tim Don defended his national crown, comfortably holding off Will Clarke to win in 1:52:44.

Wales' Marc Jenkins finished an encouraging ninth as he continues his comeback after deep vein thrombosis.

The Windsor race acts as a qualifying event for the men's ITU World Cup race in Salford next month.

There were 80 elite athletes in a 2,500-strong field, with the course taking in Windsor Castle, Eton College and the River Thames.
