Guernsey teenager Kristina Neves has broken the one-minute barrier in the 100m freestyle for the first time. The 13-year-old recorded a time of 59.94 seconds at the Christmas Cracker Long Course event in Leeds at the weekend. Neves also came close to achieving the Commonwealth Games qualifying time in the 50m butterfly in an island record 29.79 seconds. Kristina's mum Michelle told BBC Guernsey: "She is extremely pleased with the results, especially in the butterfly as it is very close to a Commonwealth Games qualifying time."
