Great Britain added two more bronze medals to their tally at the European Championships in Budapest on Thursday. Matthew Clay came third in the 50m backstroke behind German winner Helge Meeuw and Greek Aristeidis Grigoriadis.
Kristopher Gilchrist finished fourth in the 200m breastroke but took bronze, with Pole Slawomir Kuzcko winning gold ahead of Italian Paolo Bossini.
Italy's Loris Facci finished first but was disqualified for a one-handed touch on his second turn.
Scotland's Gilchrist said: "At 150m I just felt I had nothing left but I dug in to try to finish strongly.
"I gave it everything and I was very happy to see I'd been promoted after the winner was disqualified."
Clay was less happy with his third place, saying "I could see I was ahead at 25m so I suppose I'm a little disappointed with bronze.
"But a European medal to go with Commonwealth gold has exceeded my expectations for the year."
