Madeline Perry's fine recent form has lifted her to seventh in the world

Madeline Perry from Banbridge has booked her place in the quarter-finals of the Hong Kong Open.

Perry, the number seven seed, needed only 28 minutes to beat Australian qualifier Donna Urquhart 11-7, 11-8, 11-6.

Perry will now play number three seed, Rachel Grinham of Australia, on Friday for a place in the semi-finals.

Grinham defeated the 32-year-old Banbridge girl in the recent British Open final in Manchester.
