Madeline Perry has moved up one place to seventh in the world rankings following some impressive performances. She beat top-ranked Malaysian Nicol David at the British Open in Manchester and went on to the final where she lost to Australia's Rachael Grinham. Perry then confirmed her seeding to reach the quarter-finals of the World Open where she lost to Alison Waters. "I am delighted with my ranking which is the highest I have had in a couple of years," said 32-year-old Perry. "I really think I can get into the top five again after my recent results." Perry's next target is the Hong Kong Open which takes place from 14-18 October.
