Bailey is 22nd in the world rankings |
Lincolnshire squash player Tania Bailey says she is "apprehensive" about her come-back at the British Open at the National Squash Centre in Manchester. The 28-year-old's career has been blighted by injury, the latest one being a hip operation in May. She told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Rehabilitation has gone really well, and to be playing two months ahead of schedule is a real bonus for me." "I'm a bit apprehensive about how it'll go but I'm looking forward to playing." Her first opponent, on Friday afternoon, is Vanessa Atkinson from the Netherlands. Bailey is also entered for the World Open Championships at the end of September in Amsterdam.
