White is the fourth seed |
Scotland's John White beat number one seed Thierry Lincou in the semi-finals of the ISS Canary Wharf Squash Classic. Fourth seed White had to hold off a comeback from Lincou before pulling off an 11-8 12-10 9-11 10-12 11-9 win.
Frenchman Lincou led 5-1 and then 8-6 in the decider, but White battled back to take his place in the final where he now meets James Willstrop.
Willstrop ended a long losing streak against England team-mate Nick Matthew to win 11-7 11-9 11-1 in 44 minutes.
But Sheffield-based British Open champion Matthew struggled with his movement in his second tournament back after a long lay-off caused by ankle injury.
Willstrop, from Pontefract, said: "I am looking forward to the final but just hope that John is totally exhausted from his semi!
"Nick and I were watching the other match on TV while we were waiting and the squash was just unbelievable."
