South West snooker academy owner Paul Mount is aiming to bring Power Snooker to Quedgley.

The inaugural competition for the new format of the game is set for the Indigo O2 in London in October.

"It looks very exciting. It's something I'd like to bring to the academy," Mount told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"I'll be speaking to the people who own the rights as soon as possible. Snooker is fine as it is, but there's always a reason to add some new spice."
