White has slipped down the world rankings over the last 12 months |
Jimmy White has failed to qualify for the televised stages of the Grand Prix in Aberdeen later this month. White, 44, beat Northern Ireland's Mark Allen 3-1 to register his third victory from six qualifying matches in.
But with only two players progressing from each group, Allen later defeated Lee Spick 3-1 to win his fourth match.
Leicester's Tom Ford, who had already won three matches, was certain to finish ahead of Londoner White, having beaten him 3-2 on Saturday.
White fell from eighth to 35th in the world rankings at the end of last season.
His qualifying victory over Alfie Burden on Sunday was his first in a year.
The six-time losing world snooker finalist also failed to reach the final stages of August's Northern Ireland Trophy.
Only the top 64 in the rankings after the World Championship next May are guaranteed a place on the circuit the following season.
White is likely to be ranked in the mid 50s after his Grand Prix failure.
