O'Sullivan sought out Reardon before the tournament
Ronnie O'Sullivan has been given a helping hand by snooker legend Ray Reardon as he targets a second World Championship crown at The Crucible.

The Englishman, who won the title in 2001, felt he needed some expect advice ahead of this year's tournament.

"I wanted to see someone who knows the game and my dad told me I might as well go to the best," said O'Sullivan.

"He made a few calls and he told me to speak to the 'Guvnor.' I asked him who he meant and he said Ray Reardon."

O'Sullivan, who is through to the quarter-finals, refused to reveal what advice Reardon had given him.
