American Bode Miller secured the men's super-G World Cup title with a shared victory in the final race of the season at Lenzerheide in Switzerland. Miller clocked one minute 10.24 seconds, a time matched by his compatriot Daron Rahlves.
Austrian Stephan Goergl completed the top three, finishing in 1:10.29.
It was the 19th World Cup win for Miller, 27, who was the World Cup giant slalom champion in 2004 and won an Olympic silver at Salt Lake in 2002.
Miller admitted that his victory was perfectly played out.
"This is awesome," he said, jubilantly.
"To win the race, to finish on top, to show it in a big way and to be on top
of the podium with Daron. It's exactly what I wanted."
The American is now strong favourite for the overall total, with a lead of 184 points and only two races remaining.
"Of course it's looking really smooth for the overall World
Cup now," he said.
"It's still not quite over, though, and
all I want to think about is having another great race on
Saturday and going for another victory."
