Creevy will take part in the individual 300 prone rifle competition on Friday |
Manx shooter Harry Creevy picked up a gold medal with Team GB in the 300m prone rifle event at the World Shooting Championships in Munich. The Manxman shot 597 out of 600 to help Great Britain finish first ahead of Austria and France. There was disappointment for fellow Manx shooter Tim Kneale who missed out on getting into the final of the Double Trap Competition by just one target. He scored 143 out of 150 but needed 144 to go through and finished 14th. There was some consolation though as Kneale's effort helped Great Britain to claim a bronze medal in the double-trap team event. Both men now go on to represent the Isle of Man at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
