Caradon and Par Bay in action at the World Gig Championships in May

Caradon Men's A crew have won the 2009 Tribute Gig Rowing Championship after coming out on top in the second round in Rame on Saturday.

Caradon, in Millers Daughter, finished first ahead of Par (Warrior), mirroring the result of the first Tribute event in Falmouth at the start of June.

Caradon came home in 13:52:19, just over a second ahead of Par (13:53:29).

Par won the prestigious World Championship Gig Race on the Isles of Scilly in May for the first time.

Caradon have won the World Championships 12 times since 1995.
