Cookey had an 81% shooting return and slotted 22 points |
Team Bath beat Brunel Hurricanes 51-41 to stretch their 100% record to 13 wins from 13 games in the Superleague. The visitors welcomed England players Tamsin Greenway, Rachel Dunn, Pamela Cookey, Sara Bayman and Eboni Beckford-Chambers from international duty. And they were made to work hard in the opening quarter by Brunel who stayed within two points before subsiding. Team Bath took the second quarter 19-4 to set up a convincing win in which they also played some younger talent. Head coach Jess Garland gave Stacey Francis, Monique Wood and Sasha Corbin decent court time. Garland said: "I made a lot of changes on Saturday because we wanted to expose some combinations and that worked well."
