Nottingham Panthers are working on finding a replacement for enforcer Alex Penner after the forward asked to be released from his contract on Friday. Penner, who signed for the club in the summer, gave two weeks' notice after the home loss against Belfast. The Canadian is a renowned fighter and has been left frustrated by the lack of opportunity to "drop the gloves". Penner is expected to secure a move to play for a team in Colorado, where he was playing before he joined Panthers.
