Hull Stingrays are no easy ride, says Ryan Lake

Hull Stingrays forward Ryan Lake believes that their recent upturn in form will send out a warning message to their Elite League rivals and critics.

Since the 12-0 defeat by Cardiff Devils a fortnight ago, the Rays have won two and drawn one - and Lake believes that other teams have begun to take notice.

"I hope we're not the team people think are going to be an easy ride," he said.

"I know that a few people in the press have been saying that," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"They'll be looking at us and thinking 'Hull are going to show up in the first period and battle hard'.

"And for every single guy in our dressing room, that's the reputation we want."

The Stingrays currently stand seventh in the Elite League table, six points clear of bottom club Dundee.
