Coventry Blaze failed to progress to the final of the Continental Cup in France after crashing to a 7-3 defeat against hosts Rouen Dragons.

Blaze had led Group D following two successive 6-1 victories in Rouen over the weekend.

But indiscipline against the hosts cost Coventry dear as they were pipped to the top spot by Dragons, who now head for Belarus next year.

Russ Cowley, Sean Selmser and Jonathan Weaver scored for Blaze.
