Canadian winger Mike Prpich has joined Newcastle Vipers for the remainder of the season. The 28-year-old previously played in the Elite League for Cardiff Devils where he scored 63 points in 54 games. Newcastle coach Danny Stewart said: "I felt we were missing a little scoring finish and a bit of grit up front. "With Mike Prpich we get quality in both areas and we also get a guy who will improve our club drastically," Stewart added. Prpich's arrival comes on the back of the news that Canadian defenceman Blair Stayzer has left the Vipers.
