Nottingham Panthers recorded a second successive weekend win double to move up to second spot in the Elite League.

Panthers won 7-4 away against Dundee Stars on Sunday with Jade Galbraith leading the way with two goals.

Rob Bellamy, Danny Meyers, Marc Levers, David-Alexandre Beauregard and David Clarke and also scored as Panthers racked up their fifth win in row.

On Saturday Beauregard scored his 500th career goal as Corey Neilson's side thumped Edinburgh Capitals 8-2.

A second from Beauregard plus strikes from Dustin Sproat (2), Clarke, Galbraith, Billy Ryan and Ian McDonald sealed the home victory.

Beauregard told BBC Radio Nottingham he was thrilled to reach the landmark.

"It feels really good," he said. "It was in my head a little bit. I had zero goals in my last three games but I was playing well and working hard so I knew it would come."

Panthers face arch-rivals Sheffield Steelers in the Challenge Cup at the National Ice Centre on Wednesday.
