Panthers' Corey Neilson wary of physical Cardiff Devils

Corey Nielson
Neilson is now in his fifth season with the Panthers

Nottingham Panthers coach Corey Neilson has warned his side to be wary of Cardiff Devils' physical side ahead of their meeting on Saturday.

Panthers go into the game following back-to-back wins over Belfast and Coventry on the opening weekend.

Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "They're a puck-pressure team and they seem to always work really hard.

"They are really physical; they've got a decent balance this year and they've got some good players."

Panthers host the Devils at the National Ice Centre on Saturday (1900 BST), before travelling to Scotland to face Dundee Stars on Sunday (1830 BST).

"They've (Dundee) got a pretty good group of players over there and they have a lot of physical and mean guys.

"They will be looking to use that to their advantage, but thankfully we've put together a good balance of toughness, skill and grit."

Neilson will be without Jay Henderson and Marc Levers who will once again miss out through injury.
