Clarke has also appeared for Telford Tigers and Basingstoke Bison |
Forward Gary Clarke has returned to Milton Keynes Lightning after 12 months with the Guilford Flames. The 31-year-old spent seven years at Lightning during his first spell with the club. He told the team's website: "My time away last season only highlighted what a well run and sound club there is in MK, they always stick to their values. "I am proud to be wearing the Lightning shirt once more and look forward to being a member of an ambitious team." Player-coach Nick Poole added: "'Despite what some people believe, Clarkey left us on good terms a year ago after a very frustrating last season at MK. "I think the year away has been good for Clarkey, and I am really excited in having Gary back in Milton Keynes and I know that his time away will see him back to his best. "I think there will be less pressure on him than before as I feel we have a much more balanced team." The 2010 Premier League champions have already confirmed that eight members of last season's squad will remain with the club, including captain Adam Carr.
