Nottingham Panthers have signed British youngsters Tom Norton and Robert Lachowicz to next season's roster. Norton, 20, returns after increased responsibility on the blueline last season, while 21-year-old Lachowicz is back after a year in the EPL. Coach Corey Neilson said: "These are two of the brightest prospects around. "I enjoy working with Tom on the blueline and can see him taking big strides next year. As for Robert he has some great skills already." Lachowicz had offers to move elsewhere after scoring 55 points in 51 games at Manchester in the EPL last season, as well as chipping in with a goal and a handful of assists with the Panthers as part of his two-way contract. | The Panthers organisation has always been very supportive of them and that played a big part in their decision making |
"We scouted the EPL semi-finals at their play-offs and Robert was the stand-out player of the British players coming through," Neilson added. "I'm not surprised he was wanted back in Manchester and elsewhere but like Tom, he has been through the ranks in Nottingham. "It is his home town and the Panthers organisation has always been very supportive of the pair of them and that played a big part in their decision making."
