Injury-hit Nottingham Panthers end with loss

Nottingham Panthers ended their regular season campaign with a 5-3 defeat by Newcastle Vipers in Whitley Bay.

Marc Levers, Jade Galbraith and Ross Dalgleish all scored for the Panthers and young netminder Mark Hartley played the full game.

Panthers were without Kevin Bergin, David Clarke, Dominic D'Amour, Cameron Mann, Danny Meyers, Tom Norton and Kevin St Pierre.

Nottingham now take on Edinburgh in their play-off quarter-final.

The first leg takes place in Scotland on Saturday, 27 March (1800 GMT), with the return leg in Nottingham on Sunday, 28 March (1600 GMT).
