Bruce Richardson and Jason Hewitt go head-to-head

Sheffield Steelers beat Nottingham Panthers 6-2 at the Sheffield Arena on Saturday night, as the Steelers retired the shirt of Ron Shudra.

An Elite League record crowd of 8,634 saw Joey Talbot (2), Doug Sheppard (2), Randy Dagenais and Matt Hubbauer score for the Steelers.

Meanwhile Jay Henderson and Corey Neilson were on target for Nottingham.

Coventry's victory in Edinburgh saw them crowned league champions for the fourth time in six years.
