The Belfast Giants proved too strong for Hull Stingrays at the Odyssey Arena

The Belfast Giants trounced Hull Stingrays 9-0 in Thursday night's Elite League clash at the Odyssey Arena.

The Giants scored three goals in each of the three periods to romp home and boost their flagging title hopes.

Pat Bateman (2) and Jeff Szwez scored in the first period and Evan Cheverie, Pierre-Luc Faubert and Michael Jacobsen scored in the second period.

Sean McMorrow, Craig Peacock and Bateman added goals in the third period to make it a comfortable victory.
