Manchester Phoenix held off a spirited Bracknell Bees comeback to seal two precious points in the hunt for the English Premier League title. James Neil put Phoenix ahead but Jaroslav Cesky equalised, before Robert Lachowicz restored Manchester's lead. Bees' Michal Pinc was thrown out for misconduct in the second period but the home side rallied in his absence. Claude Dumas scored twice for Bracknell to level the game at 4-4 in the third period but Tony Hand grabbed a winner. Bracknell's Terry Miles and Manchester duo Jaakko Hagelberg and Adam Walker got the other goals.
