Sheffield Steelers head coach Dave Matsos met with club bosses on Monday to discuss their poor form after Sunday's 5-2 home defeat by Hull. Matsos had talks with general manager Mike O'Connor and owner Bob Phillips after their 10th home loss this term. The head coach told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I am absolutely ashamed. It was aching for me in the second period to watch. It's unacceptable." Phillips said: "Everything that can be done, will be done." He added: "I thank [the fans] for their time and patience, something that perhaps we don't deserve right now."
