Nottingham Panthers sealed a four-point weekend with an emphatic 6-3 away victory over Hull Stingrays on Sunday.

They had trailed 3-1 at one stage with their only goal of the first two periods coming from Jade Galbraith.

But they ran riot in the final session, Galbraith notched his second, David Clarke scored twice and there were one each for Cameron Mann and Sean McAslan.

On Saturday Panthers saw off Edinburgh 4-3 in overtime thanks to a powerplay strike from player-coach Corey Neilson.

Panthers, who are now level on points with Coventry Blaze but have played four more games, secured their eighth successive home win despite falling behind to early goals from Ben O'Connor and Jeff Hutchins.

Mann reduced the deficit to 2-1 at the end of the first period and Stephen Lee levelled in the second.

Mark Paterson put Capitals ahead again but a powerplay effort from Marty Gascon forced overtime and Neilson's shot secured the win less than two minutes into the extra period.

On Sunday, Panthers were once again forced to come from behind but assistant coach Bruce Richardson was delighted with the side's spirit: "A four-point weekend has been a while so we'll take it.

"In the third period everyone committed, competed, went for the loose puck, took a hit to make a play and everybody stepped in.

"You can't lose when guys are committed like that."
