Nottingham Panthers have signed 22-year-old Scottish forward Ross Dalgleish from Edinburgh Capitals. Dalgleish fills the spot left by Matthew Myers, who opted out of his contract to go and play in North America with Bakersfield. Coach Corey Neilson said: "I'm hoping for big things from Ross, it is time for him to step up to claim a place on a big team." Dalgleish will join up with Neilson on a training camp in Canada. Meanwhile, Nottingham will warm up for the new season with two games on Humberside in a special three-team international event. The matches involving Panthers, Hull Stingrays and Tilburg from Holland will take place during the August Bank Holiday weekend. Panthers face the Dutch side on Sunday afternoon and Elite League rivals Hull on Bank Holiday Monday. Neilson added: "This will be a major part of our training camp and will lead up nicely to the Charity Shield game against Sheffield on the Wednesday. "Then the league gets underway. It is all very exciting and everyone's looking forward to the new season with relish."
