Lee will link up with former Briancon team-mate Greg Owen at the Skydome

Coventry Blaze have signed defenceman Brian Lee from French Elite League outfit Briancon.

Lee spent last season playing alongside recent Blaze signing Greg Owen and helped the Red Devils win the French regular season title.

The 24-year-old from Michigan in the United States was drafted in the third round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

Lee has also played in more than 150 games in the East Coast Hockey League.

Prior to turning professional, Lee, who will wear the number five jersey for the Blaze, spent five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Erie Otters where he helped his team to win the championship in 2002.
