Chambers feels he can win trophies with the Blaze |
Coventry Blaze have completed the signing of Great Britain forward Greg Chambers from Basingstoke Bison. The 26-year-old, who has agreed a two-year contract with the Blaze, said that winning trophies was the main reason he joined the Warwickshire side. "Hopefully we can win a few trophies next year and move on to Europe," he told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. The British-Canadian spent the last four seasons with the Bison and in that time scored over 100 goals. Chambers added: "It was a no-brainer. The Blaze's coach Paul Thompson talked to me - it was the first time we had met. The deal was done and I am very happy to move to Coventry." He is the Blaze's second signing this summer and joins Danish international netminder Peter Hirsch.
