Man-of-the-match Jay Latulippe notched the winning penalty as Cardiff Devils beat Newcastle Vipers 1-0 in the Bay.

Goal-keeper Peter Aubry was another hero for the home side, as the Devils secured their third straight victory.

Newcastle came closest to scoring in regulation time, referee Nigel Boniface turning down a goal appeal in the second period.

But the Devils showed the confidence in the shoot-out and will be upbeat for Saturday's visit of Nottingham.
