Corey Neilson's side are second in the Elite League table |
Nottingham Panthers coach Corey Neilson is urging his side to only concentrate on the positives ahead of their trip to Edinburgh this weekend. Neilson was furious with his team's performance in their victory over Basingstoke in midweek. Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I want to put Wednesday's first two periods behind us. "We've got the skill to make the pretty plays, but we have to go to the hard areas - and that's Panthers hockey." Panthers trailed struggling Basingstoke 2-1 after two periods last Wednesday, but turned the game around to win 7-3. Neilson added: "I want to highlight their response and their commitment in the third. "We have the skills, but we always need the commitment throughout the game, and that has to be hammered into their heads." Panthers will be at full-strength for Sunday's trip to Edinburgh. Johan Molin and Rumun Ndur are still out through injury, so Corey LeClair and Juri Golicic will continue to deputise.
