Corey Neilson's side have now gone second in the Elite League table
Nottingham Panthers player-coach Corey Neilson was angry with his side's efforts against Basingstoke despite the 7-3 home victory.
Panthers led after just 75 seconds thanks to Bruce Richardson but were 2-1 down as they went into the final period after two poor sessions.
Neilson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We talked about commitment and consistency before the game.
"To throw that out the window and play like like - I'm really disappointed."
Neilson added: "In the first period we played decently and created a good amount of things and played some pretty hockey.
"But I thought intensity was down maybe 10 to 20% and we just didn't finish our chances.
"It was an effortless performance."
Panthers turned the game around in the final period on Wednesday with Nick Toneys and David Clarke getting two goals each - Corey LeClair and Kevin Bergin also found the net.
