Bergin scored his 12th goal of the season |
Nottingham Panthers' inconsistent season sunk to new depths as they exited the Challenge Cup on Saturday. Panthers threw away a three-goal lead and lost 5-3 to struggling Basingstoke Bison in their final group game. Jade Galbraith, Johan Molin and Kevin Bergin put Panthers ahead in a dominant first period, but Bison hit back with five unanswered goals. Panthers won the Challenge Cup last season, beating arch-rivals Sheffield Steelers over two legs.
