Tessier scored when the two sides met in Nottingham earlier in the season
Nottingham Panthers forward Dan Tessier has said he wants a winning return when he goes back to the Sheffield Arena.
The former Steelers forward returns to the club where he won the play-offs last season on Sunday.
Tessier told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It's going to be exciting, it's a big rink and there's lots of skating room.
"It's going to be a good atmosphere and that's like a four point night to beat Sheffield, the further we can get away from them in the table is great."
Tessier had two spells with the Steelers and scored a goal in their play-off final against Coventry last season.
Steelers coach Dave Matsos did not renew Tessier's contract in the summer claiming dressing room unrest as a major issue.
Panthers player-coach Corey Neilson said: "Tessier has come in and thrilled everyone with his play and his conduct in the room.
"I don't know what Sheffield were thinking, he's been class - the guys enjoy him, he's fun and great to be around.
"He's got a great wife and family and has been a pleasure to coach.
"All the while he's remained positive and has been a leader, I couldn't ask for anything more."
