Nottingham Panthers captain Danny Meyers has warned his side not to take victory for granted in this weekend's back-to-back matches in Edinburgh. The Capitals were thrashed 6-0 when they visited Nottingham three weeks ago and are currently eighth in the table. Meyers told BBC Radio Nottingham: "The ball is in our court. We need to improve on last Sunday's performance. "They will be looking for revenge and it's up to us to put 100% in and get the two wins." Panthers are second in the Elite League table and will return to the top with two victories this weekend. Current leaders Belfast only have one league game as they travel to Coventry on Sunday. Panthers expect to be at full-strength, with no injuries reported.
Player-coach Corey Neilson is planning to give British netminder Geoff Woolhouse at least one start this weekend. Woolhouse made his first appearance of the season in last week's 2-2 tie with Hull in the Challenge Cup. Neilson said: "Geoff is a great goalie and I have a tremendous amount of respect and confidence in him. "I will probably give him a start this weekend in Edinburgh. He deserves it as he's played well."
