Nottingham Panthers fans turned out in force for their first look at the new squad at an open training session. Over 2,000 were at the National Ice Centre to see the squad presented with their new shirts. This was followed by a light training session. Panthers forward Bruce Richardson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I've been playing hockey for 12 years. "When you come to a practice and hear the atmosphere, you can't wait for the first game." Richardson is one of six brand new faces to Nottingham, along with Davis Parley, Nick Toneys, Rumun Ndur, Brendan Cook and Jade Galbraith. Nigerian-born Ndur said: "I couldn't believe it when I came out there. I was looking down the tunnel and couldn't believe what I saw. "This is a huge club in England and it just shows today with the amount of people out there. It's good - it's a great feeling."
