New Nottingham Panthers netminder Davis Parley says he is looking forward to renewing acquaintances with former team-mate Ryan Finnerty.
The pair played together two years ago in South Carolina, but Finnerty is now with arch-rivals Sheffield Steelers.
Parley told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Ryan says I'll have a great time and is excited he will face me in a game.
"Numerous guys have said that Nottingham is great and that the fans are the best in the league."
Meanwhile, Panthers are sending three young players to Canada for intensive summer training.
The club are sending Robert Lachowicz, Sam Bullas and Tom Norton to Orangeville where coach Corey Neilson has run a successful hockey camp for ten years.
James Neil and Joe Graham have family commitments and cannot make the trip but coach Neilson has devised training routines for them.
Neilson said: "I'm very excited by the prospects of these boys going back home and having that extra edge when it comes to a Panthers training camp."
